I sent the following email to the 15 studios I researched:
Hi There,
I am a graphic design student from London, England. I am currently undertaking my degree, and moving into 2nd year of study. I have considered the option to work abroad when graduating, and love the idea of working in New York city. Obviously to get a better understanding of what it would be like to work there, I would need to visit an actual studio, which is why I have decided to contact you.
Between the 5th and the 10th of September, I am going on a family holiday to New York. I have taken this as a very rare opportunity to try and visit your studio. I would love to find out much more about your design practice, as well as what it is like to live in one of the world's most iconic cities.
Would it be possible to visit your studio between the 6th and the 9th? I feel a visit could be a huge influence on not only a future career, but also a future life decision.
